breaks down in the digestive system fast. Many of the whey, dairy,
and animal based based protein supplements are costly to produce.
Some of those supplements use extract from bovine blood. The process
of extraction can labor intensive which can get expensive. Pea
protein on the other hand is simple to turn into a powder and source
pea crop is easy to produce. Pea protein has a more neutral flavor so
it can mix easily in a smoothie or in dishes like pancakes, muffins,
and other quick bake items. Pea protein is also a single ingredient

Don't resist the Bands
Resistance bands are
a great item to incorporate into a workout. Typically the portability
seems to be what makes them most attractive. As it turns out these
can be more than just fitness tools for when people are on vacation.
Resistance bands can create new challenges for developing muscles and
physical strength. Unlike a dumbbell or barbell the resistance is
always active with the bands. Because of this the muscles are always
being engaged and activated at all points and angles in an exercise.
This can translate into better overall gains at a higher rate.

The Lat Pulldown, with no hands?
All weightlifters are familiar with the infamous lat pull-down. The different hand positions, choices of handles and bars, close, mid and wide grips. Though has anyone considered no grip at all? Making use of the straps used for abdominal leg raises creates a movement that better isolates the latissimus dorsi muscles. The typical lat pulldown variations are great but they make use of the arms which divides focus away from the arms. Best known as the Thib Pulldown, this may be good if a compound movement is desired, but to better engage and stimulate the lats try letting go so to speak. Have a look at this video to see this technique in action.
