Add some weight to your Yoga

Including weights into a yoga practice can have tremendous benefits for fitness enthusiasts hoping to add a new dimension to their exercise routine. Combining the demands of balance and focus found in Yoga with some heavy lifting facilitates a physically invigorating workout. Typically there is no need to go too heavy, no more than 5 to 10 pounds. The Yoga positions call upon the small stabilizing muscles around the joints. Adding some weight resistance strengthens them. The overall long term benefits improves balance that will benefit all other athletic activities including bodybuilding.

Have a look at this video for an examples of how weights are implemented into a work out.
